Diego Moratalla → Der Zorn Gottes

Description: Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972, Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes) is a film by german director Werner Herzog, who reflects on the arrogance, agony and solitude of the human being trough a Spanish explorer who crossed the Amazonic jungle in the XVI century. This inspires me to make a series of posters, showing the evolution of the creative process and playing with textures, as if they were the overlapping emotions that felt Lope de Aguirre in the journey that took him to death. Furthermore, the film has a powerful religious meaning and it presents the abandonment that humanity suffers by God because of their sins as it happens in the Apocalypse. One of the first verses from that book appears in the poster to finish off the purpose of this graphic series.
